Myrtle Beach South Carolina is a fun place to visit. It is active and exciting, bringing together the beach, southern hospitality,
and excellent attractions.
Myrtle Beach is part of the 'Grand Strand' - a 60-mile strip of wonderful coastline that begins at the South Carolina State
Line and stretches south to Pawleys Island.
There are more than 100 golf courses, over 1500 restaurants and hundreds of stores and shops along the Grand Strand.
Beach vacations for me are always enjoyable. At Myrtle Beach, there is something for everyone to do in your group. I must
admit I enjoy sitting on the beach and taking in the sunshine and the warm ocean breezes. But others in your group may want
to experience the splendid multitude and diversity of Myrtle Beach’s attractions. Days can be chock full of shopping,
dining, golfing, and live entertainment.
Myrtle Beach has 200 sunny days and a temperate year-round climate, the Myrtle Beach area is a paradise for beach goers, offering
endless hours of swimming, surfing, sailing, and other sun and sand favorites. Sports enthusiasts will fall in love with 108
championship golf courses. Fishing opportunities abound, whether you prefer to stay on land and cast off from one of the seven
piers that line the coastline.
The Grand Strand conveniently boasts nearly 1,700 eateries serving up all sorts of delectable cuisine, including some of the
world's finest seafood.
The area's nightlife offers everything from popular nightclubs to quiet walks along moonlit ocean piers. (wheel or scoot)
Make sure to take in a show at one of 11 live-entertainment theaters hosting big-name performers, country music concerts,

If shopping is your thing then Myrtle Beach is the place, there are literally hundreds of outlet shops, specialty stores,
boutiques, and malls.
The Broadway at the Beach entertainment complex offers two intimate glimpses into nature at Ripley's Aquarium.
One of the largest exotic reptile parks in the world, Alligator Adventure, at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach.
Both Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach provide a host of family-centered activities in addition to great shopping
and dining.
With my limited mobility (I can walk a bit) I did get to play some holes at one of the many miniature golf courses that dot
Myrtle Beach- it was fun! A game of Miniature Golf definitely is necessary stop for your group.
It was a delight to visit this area of the country. I know there are many types of accommodations from hotel rooms, to cottages
but I stayed at a magnificent Campground right on the beach called Ocean Lakes Family Campground, if you have a RV this is
the place for you and even if you don’t they have rental cottages available. With pools, the beach, and activities for

Now when I am near the water or at the beach, I always want to get on the water and I do this by taking a boat cruise. So,
Captain Dick’s cruise on The Salt Marshes was just the ticket.
The Boat was easy to get on with a ramp for those with limited mobility and the crew was more than helpful for wheelchairs
and scooters. It was wonderful to see all the wildlife in the Salt Water marshes. In addition, the boat drops you off by ramp
to a lovely Barrier Is land not accessible by car, to go beachcombing. Some in my group found shark teethes. It was easy to
get off for limited mobility but wheelchairs could not traverse the beach.
On Capt Dick’s cruises who saw the amazing collection of plants, animals, birds, and marine life that make up the best
example in nature of a complete Ecosystem. Not an artificial environment like a zoo or aquarium, this is the real thing.
The tour is interactive. Various nets and dredges are used to retrieve specimens from beneath the water. Specimens go into
onboard touch-tanks where they can be seen, observed and when appropriate touched and held. All living specimens are returned
to the water. All Explorer vessels are rest room equipped, which is fine for limited mobility but more difficult for those
who have a higher degree of disability.
Yet this trip helps one connect to what is real in life sun, fresh air, water and good folks
The cruise was delightfully educational and great for all ages
